This panel brings together the General Director of the Eastern Bloc Production and Exhibition Centre, Alicia Turgeon; multidisciplinary artist Ryth Kesselring; the Director of Strategic Development and Operations of the VestechPro Centre for Research and Innovation in Clothing, Helen Brunet; and tenured professor at the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department of HEC Montréal, Laurent Simon. Together, they explore the issue of collaboration between art, industry, and knowledge. The Fibres & Textiles panel takes the eponymous co-creation project carried out in early 2022 as its starting point, and will expand on its premise by discussing the creation of bridges between different actors in the textile industry, bio-manufacturing, smart clothing, materials of the future, digital transformation, and the circular economy.
