In order to build new connections and foster potential for collaborations and business opportunities, MUTEK organizes a series of virtual and in-person networking activities, facilitated by the MUTEK Forum App.
Virtual Activities
On August 16th at 9AM EST (Montréal Time), the Virtual Networking Roundtable presents the chance to hear directly from the MUTEK team about the upcoming festival, and the artistic highlights, followed by an opportunity for participants to introduce themselves, their organization and work.
On August 17th at 9AM EST (Montréal Time) Introducing the Pan-African Market Selection presents the chance to hear directly from Fak'ugesi Festival about the latest in digital creation in Africa and to connect with the most cutting-edge artists and professionals from the continent
Our pre-scheduled meetings with Canadian and Quebec Artists take place on August 16th and 17th via the MUTEK Forum App.
The MUTEK Forum App will remain open for scheduling virtual (and physical) meetings until September 9, with an emphasis on the festival week, August 23th to 28th from 9AM to 10PM Montréal time.
In-person activities
In-person activities feature daily networking lunches (12h - 13h EST) and cocktails (17h - 19h EST) at Agora du Cœur des sciences, as part of the MUTEK Forum activities running from August 23rd to 26th. These daily activities present the best way to mingle and connect with visiting industry professionals, the artistic community, and our Forum audience.
Taking place on Thursday, August 25th, at the Espace ONF, MUTEK Match has become an essential component of MUTEK’s daytime program. This exclusive networking event for international and Canadian cultural organizations in the field of digital art, culture and electronic music centers on making connections. The goal is to make connections between targeted international professionals (buyers) and Canadian artists through market-oriented activities such as short public presentations, 1on1 meetings, the traditional festival opening cocktail, and our industry brunch.
